Lazio are again thinking about making a move for Mario Balotelli after Miroslav Klose picked up an injury last night.

Though the Biancocelesti earned a hard fought 1-0 win over Bayern Leverkusen last night in the first leg of their Champions League playoff tie, they suffered a serious blow as Klose didn’t take the field after the break because of an injury.

The injury is believed to be serious and the German forward is expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time, which has forced Lazio to look into the transfer market for a new striker.

A number of options are being considered by the Lazio hierarchy and according to Sky Italia, Liverpool striker Balotelli has re-entered their thinking.

The cost of taking him back to Italy is believed to have forced Lazio to back off from the deal in the first place, but it has been claimed that Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, has again been in contact with the club hierarchy to explore the possibility of a transfer.
