Manchester City target Kevin De Bruyne is not keen to force Wolfsburg’s hand for a transfer this summer.

The Belgian playmaker is Manchester City’s priority target at the moment and the club are keen to divert all their resources to prise him away from Wolfsburg in the remaining days of the transfer window.

While De Bruyne did say recently that he is staying at the club, a transfer this summer has not been ruled out and Manchester City are ramping up the pressure to make the deal happen.

However, according to local German daily the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, De Bruyne is unlikely to push for a move away from the Volkswagen Arena in the last few days of the window.

While he understands a move to Manchester City would help him to take the next step in his career, the 24-year-old is not keen to sour his relationship with Wolfsburg and their fans by trying to force their hand into selling him.

Though the club are keen to hold on to the player for one more season, Wolfsburg officials have sounded pessimistic over keeping De Bruyne away from Manchester City’s clutches in the final days of the window.

However, with De Bruyne unwilling to agitate for a move, Wolfsburg would be now more confident of keeping him at the club, than they were in the last few days.

On the other hand Manchester City are willing to commit to a huge financial package to lure De Bruyne to the Etihad this summer and could be prepared to place a fresh offer on Wolfsburg’s table in the coming days.
