Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels was left stunned last night at the performance of 17-year-old Odd BK winger Rafik Zekhnini.

In the first leg of their Europa League playoff round tie in Norway, Borussia Dortmund were left reeling early on after slumping to 3-0 behind by just the 22nd minute.

The Bundesliga side rallied to pull one back before the break, while they then stepped on the gas in the second half to score a further three times and run out 4-3 winners. However, they had been given a big scare.

Hummels, who has consistently been linked with Manchester United, was quick to salute the quality of Odd's players after the match, reserving particular praise for winger Zekhnini.

Speaking on Norwegian TV (VIDEO), Hummels said: "They have good players. I don't know all the names but left wing and right wing…

"Left wing fast and really a nice player.

"So we knew they could cause us problems and they did today."

As he was walking away, the reporter told Hummels that the left winger Zekhnini, the player he was so impressed with, is just 17 years old, something which the Borussia Dortmund defender could not believe.

Hummels replied: "Really? He's really 17 years old? What the f***."

Zekhnini has just broken into the Odd team and is already beginning to turn heads with his performances, with his showing against the Bundesliga outfit likely to have only further increased his stock.
