NEC Nijmegen coach Ernest Faber admits that winger Anthony Limbombe wants to join Leeds United, meaning he faces a tense wait to see if the English side can do a deal for his player before the transfer window slams shut next week.

Leeds recently saw NEC knock back a €2m bid for Limbombe as insufficient, however the player's head was turned by the Elland Road outfit and the Dutch side pulled him out of their squad for last weekend's game against Ajax as they felt he was not focused.

Limbombe has recently apologised for his behaviour and has been brought into the squad for tomorrow's game against Willem II.

But NEC coach Faber is open about the winger wanting to join Leeds and says that he faces an eventful few days to see if the Whites will do a deal for his player.

"We want players who have their full focus on NEC", the coach told Omroep Gelderland.

"He has the desire to be transferred to England.

"The next few hours and days will show whether they [Leeds] will succeed.

"It's still thrilling days."

If Leeds step up on their interest in Limbombe before the transfer window closes, the winger could play his final game as an NEC player tomorrow evening.
