The Scottish League Cup third round draw has been announced with holders Celtic set to face Championship side Raith Rovers while Rangers are scheduled to meet Premiership outfit St Johnstone.

The Gers, who currently lead the Championship table, beat Peterhead in the first round and Airdrieonians in the second round of the tournament to make their way through to the third round.

The Bhoys on the other hand are the strong favourites, having won the Scottish League Cup the last time around by defeating Dundee United in the final.

The draw, which was held at Hampden earlier today produced one all-Premiership tie in the form of Kilmarnock scheduled to meet Hearts at Rugby Park.

The other ties see Livingston face Inverness CT, Ross County taking on Falkirk, Morton meeting Motherwell, Dundee United confronting Dunfermline Athletic and Hibernian facing Aberdeen.
