Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has insisted that he is not aware of any potential interest in defender Giuseppe Bellusci.

The 26-year-old has drawn widespread interest from his native country Italy with both Bologna and Atalanta showing keen interest in taking him back home.

The defender is a controversial popular figure at Elland Road after having been involved in spats with the club's fans and also played a part in pulling out of a matchday squad at the last moment last season.

The Italian's departure from the club therefore could be imminent with Italian outlet Tutto Mercato revealing earlier in the week that both Atalanta and Bologna are looking at a potential move for the defender.

Rosler on his part though insists that he is not aware of any interest in Bellusci or any of his other players.

“I’m personally not aware of that", Rosler told a press conference today

"I’ve not been told that there’s a club who’ve shown serious interest.

“At the moment I have no knowledge of any player in our club who has serious interest.”

But Rosler does admit that owner Massimo Cellino along with executive director Adam Pearson and head of recruitment Martyn Glover are the ones handling transfer dealings.

"We're having Mr Cellino, Martyn Glover and Adam Pearson dealing with things and eventually they will tell me when there is a case to tell me."

Having joined the Peacocks in 2014 the defender has managed a total of 33 appearances for his club so far.
