Leeds United target Anthony Limbombe has apologised to NEC Nijmegen over his behaviour and as such as been restored to the squad for this Friday's Eredivisie game.

NEC dropped Limbombe out of the squad last weekend against Ajax, saying the player's head had been turned by a bid from Leeds.

The English club offered €2m for the winger, but NEC rejected the bid as too low and want to keep hold of the Belgian.

Limbombe became unhappy at seeing the bid rejected and NEC were less than amused by his behaviour.

But now he has apologised and has been brought back into the fold by coach Ernest Faber, who is happy to have the winger back.

"I have no problems with him", Faber told Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

"But of course, I cannot force him [to be focused]. A Limbombe who wants to play is invaluable to NEC."

NEC next take on Willem II on Friday and all eyes will be on the game to see whether Limbombe takes part as continued speculation swirls over another bid from Leeds before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday.
