Manchester United are preparing a big money offer for Lazio’s Brazilian attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson.

Louis van Gaal’s team crushed Club Brugge last night to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League, but the story was different for Lazio.

The Serie A side failed to negotiate their playoff tie against Bayer Leverkusen and will now play in the Europa League this season.

Manchester United are ready to take advantage of the situation and according to Sky Italia, they are preparing an offer for Lazio midfielder Anderson.

The Red Devils reportedly failed with a bid for the Brazilian earlier in the summer, but in the wake of Lazio’s failure in the Champions League, they are willing to try their luck again.

It has been suggested that the English giants are expected to table an offer of around €45m for Anderson and hope to test Lazio’s resolve in the final days of the transfer window.

However, the Roman giants are not expected to accept the offer as they are not keen to lose one of their key performers at such a late stage of the summer transfer season.

Manchester United are hoping to try to land a big name signing in the final days of the window, as they look to bolster Van Gaal’s attacking options.
