Bastia have knocked back an offer from Rennes for winger Floyd Ayite, who has also been on the radar at Leeds United this summer.

Ayite is piquing the interest of a number of clubs before the transfer window closes and Rennes launched a decisive push to sign him earlier this week.

The Ligue 1 side contacted Bastia to offer to take the Togo international on loan for the season, with an option to then make the move permanent.

But according to French sports daily L'Equipe, Bastia have knocked back the proposal.

Ayite impressed with his performances for the Corsican outfit last season and Bastia are likely to field further offers for him before the transfer window closes next week.
