Despite their interest in Bayer Leverkusen forward Son Heung-Min, Tottenham Hotspur are still keen on getting a deal done for Saido Berahino.

West Brom have so far rejected two offers from Spurs for the England Under-21 international and are only likely to change their stance if a head-turning offer is put on the table.

Tottenham are in talks with Leverkusen for Heung-Min and are said to be close to agreeing a deal for the Korean forward, but they are yet to give up the ghost on Berahino.

According to the BBC, the north London club’s move for the West Brom striker is independent of their pursuit of the Leverkusen forward and the club are still ready to get a deal done for Berahino.

There was speculation that Tottenham have cooled their interest in the forward, but it has been suggested that it was just a tactic on their part to scare the Baggies into agreeing a deal.

While West Brom are still maintaining on the outside that their forward is not for sale, there is a suggestion that a bid of around £25m would do the trick for Spurs.

The Baggies expect Berahino to leave before Tuesday and Tony Pulis wants to get the deal done soon as he is keen to sign a replacement for the striker.
