Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson has urged his team-mates to make it eight wins from eight games this Sunday when they face Queen of the South.

The Gers have been rampant this term so far under new boss Mark Warburton and have won all seven of their competitive games, making progress in the Scottish League Cup and the Petrofac Training Cup, as well as sitting top of the Scottish Championship table.

They are next in action against Queen of the South, the only other side in the Scottish Championship with a 100 per cent record.

And Thompson wants the Light Blues to continue their impressive run.

He took to Twitter to write: "Looking forward to training tomorrow and preparing for Sunday.

"Let's make it 8/8. Goodnight our blue noses!"

Thompson later deleted his Tweet, but not before several Rangers fans had welcomed his words.

Rangers were last in action in the Scottish League Cup earlier this week and ran out 5-0 winners away at Airdrieonians.

Warburton's side are aiming for promotion to the Scottish Premiership as their primary objective this season as they bid to once again renew their rivalry with Celtic.
