Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has insisted that they have not yet agreed a deal with Manchester City for Kevin De Bruyne.

Manchester City have been trying to wriggle the Belgian out of Wolfsburg’s clutches for weeks and reportedly reached an agreement over a fee last night.

It has been suggested that Wolfsburg are set to receive €74m from De Bruyne’s transfer, which would make him the most expensive Belgian footballer of all time.

Claims have also been made that the Belgian might undergo a medical at the Etihad today, but the Wolfsburg sporting director has rubbished all such speculation.

Allofs insisted that the club are yet to reach an agreement with the English giants for De Bruyne’s sale.

"There is no agreement with Manchester City", Allofs was quoted as saying by Sport1.

Despite Allofs’ claims, De Bruyne is widely expected to complete his move to the Etihad before the transfer window shuts next week on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract worth €20m per season with Manchester City, which would make him the best paid Belgian footballer in the world.
