Liverpool linked Keita Blade’s agent has met Bayer Leverkusen officials to discuss a transfer for his client.

The Bundesliga outfit dashed Lazio’s hopes of making it to the Champions League group stage earlier this week and now they are also plotting to prise away one of the most promising youngsters from the Rome giants.

Keita’s status at the club has been under consideration and Liverpool are believed to be keen to take him to Merseyside this summer, but it seems his future could lie in Germany.

Leverkusen are keen to sign the player and according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, his agent met club officials on the sidelines of Lazio’s Champions League playoff tie against them at the BayArena on Wednesday.

With Champions League football on offer, Leverkusen are confident that they will be able to prise the Spaniard away from Lazio this summer.

However, they could face stiff competition for Keita’s signature in Germany as it has been suggested that Wolfsburg are also keeping a close watch on the Lazio forward.

But any deal at this late stage of the window is expected to be complicated and Lazio are keen to see him remain at the Stadio Olimpico this season.

Keita has been frustrated by the amount of football he has played and wants to have more minutes under his belt this season.
