Celtic manager Ronny Deila is excited about his side's Europa League group.

Following their Champions League playoff round exit at the hands of Swedish side Malmo, Celtic have dropped into the Europa League for this season.

And Deila's men have been handed a tough group, comprising Turkish giants Fenerbahce, Dutch outfit Ajax and Norwegian side Molde.

The Celtic boss is not worried though and is instead excited about the games his side have on the agenda.

"It’s a good group with some big teams and there will be a lot of exciting games home and away", Deila told a press conference.

And Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has rallied his side for the challenge ahead.

The custodian said: "We have to do the best we can in the competition we are in and see if we can qualify out of the group."

And the goalkeeper added: "It’s a good draw with some very good teams and difficult opponents."

Celtic will be aiming to make up for the disappointment of failing to reach the Champions League group stage again by enjoying a lengthy run in the Europa League.

However, they face a tough challenge to ensure they book a spot in the knockout rounds by finishing in the top two in their group.
