The draw for the group stage of this season's Europa League has been held in Monaco and a number of thrilling games are in prospect as the battle for glory in UEFA's second tier competition gets under way.

Liverpool, back in the Europa League after starting last term in the Champions League, have been drawn with Russian outfit Rubin Kazan, French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux and Swiss club Sion.




Meanwhile Celtic, eliminated in the Champions League playoff round by Malmo, find themselves in a group with Dutch giants Ajax, Turkish outfit Fenerbahce and Norwegian club Molde.

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur are set to lock horns with Belgian side Anderlecht, principality club Monaco and Azerbaijani team Qarabag.
 

 

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund have PAOK Salonika in their group, while Napoli will play Club Brugge in their group. Basel meanwhile have Fiorentina in their group and Marseille have Braga in their section.
