Italian second tier side Como are interested in former Leeds United midfielder Zan Benedicic.

The Slovenian Under-21 international spent the last season on loan at Leeds from AC Milan last season and the youngster has returned to his parent club this summer.

However, the Rossoneri are keen to loan him again ahead of the new season and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Benedicic is attracting interest from Como.

The club were promoted to Serie B this season and are keen to bolster their midfield options as they look to establish themselves in the second tier of Italian football.

The Como hierarchy are in talks with AC Milan for Benedicic and are confident of getting a deal done by the time the transfer window closes on Monday next week.
