Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has refused to rule out signing more players ahead of next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Van Gaal has already added Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero to his squad this summer.

However, he has also lost attacking talents such as Angle di Maria, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao and there is speculation that Manchester United are trying to bring in a new big name forward ahead of Tuesday's 6pm (UK time) deadline.

Van Gaal refused to talk about new signings during his pre-match Swansea City press conference, but he also did not rule out making any new announcements before deadline day.

When asked about signing any new players in the last few days of the window, the Manchester United boss said: “When we want to make some announcements, we will.”
