Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has revealed that he would love to take Tottenham Hotspur starlet Ismail Azzaoui to the Volkswagen Arena.

The young midfielder currently turns out in Spurs' youth ranks, but Wolfsburg have been monitoring his progress and Allofs has been open in his desire to snap him up.

Allofs was quoted as saying by German magazine Kicker after Friday night's 3-0 Bundesliga win for Wolfsburg over Schalke: "This is a player we would like to sign."

Azzaoui has been at Spurs since last summer and previously was part of Anderlecht's youth academy.

He impressed for Spurs last term and scored six goals in six games for the club in their FA Youth Cup run, hitting a hat-trick against Blackburn Rovers.
