Former Leeds United midfielder Adryan is delighted with the start both his new club Nantes and himself have made to the new season.

Nantes have won two of their first three games in Ligue 1 this term and sit fourth in the table, unbeaten, ahead of tomorrow's match against Bordeaux.

Adryan is at the club on loan from Flamengo, having completed a similar, but disappointing, loan stint at Leeds last term.

And the Brazilian midfielder is delighted with the way things are unfolding for him in France's top flight so far.

"This start to the season came as a surprise for many. We've won our home games and we've not conceded a goal", Adryan told Lance Net.

"It's a good start.

"I am also very happy about my run of games and good performances", the Brazilian added.

Nantes face their stiffest test yet when they travel to Bordeaux, but Adryan is confident his team can continue their good run by coming away from the clash with all three points.

"Just like all my team-mates, I am working hard and I'm confident for this game on Sunday.

"I am quite sure we are in the right shape to get a good result away from home and maintain our good start in Ligue 1."

Adryan managed just 12 first team games for Leeds last season, despite landing at Elland Road last summer amid much hype and expectation.
