Leeds United are set to appoint former Nottingham Forest manager Paul Hart as their academy director, it has been claimed.

The Whites have been looking for someone to head up their academy after parting ways with Neil Redfearn earlier this summer.




Executive director Adam Pearson recently promised fans that the man appointed would a significant figure and Hart fits the bill.

And according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 62-year-old is set to take up the role at the club.
 

 

Hart turned out as a player for Leeds between 1978 and 1983, while he is vastly experienced in management; he also returned to Leeds to work as a youth coach following his retirement from playing and a spell in the Chesterfield hot seat.

The former defender counts Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Portsmouth and Queens Park Rangers amongst the clubs he has managed and his appointment would be a coup for the Whites.

Earlier today Leeds recorded their first win of the season, beating Derby County 2-1 at the iPro Stadium.
