Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes Raheem Sterling will score more goals this season.

The new summer signing played a key role in the Citizens getting all three points against Watford at the Etihad Stadium today in a comfortable 2-0 win for Pellegrini's men.




After a frustrating a first half, where the home side failed to find the back of the net, Sterling opened the scoring for Pellegrini’s men in the 47th minute to calm the nerves of the home fans.

Fernandinho added a second to make it a comfortable day out for Manchester City, who have won all of their four league games this season.
 


The Manchester City boss was all praise for Sterling and lauded the hard work that he put in against the Baggies to help the team to click today.

He is also pleased to see the former Liverpool man score and is confident that he will add more goals to his game this season.

"Raheem played very well”, Pellegrini told a press conference following the game.

“It was good for him to score. He worked very hard and I'm sure he'll score more goals."

Manchester City are currently leading the early league table, but will take a tough away trip to Crystal Palace after the international break.
