West Brom have reached an agreement over a fee with Manchester United for the transfer of defender Jonny Evans, according to the BBC.

The 27-year-old defender will travel to the Midlands this morning and undergo a medical at the Hawthorns ahead of his move to the Baggies.

However, Evans is not expected to complete the switch in time to take part in West Ham’s away match to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium today.

The defender’s future at Manchester United was under doubt as he is yet to feature in any of Louis van Gaal’s matchday squads this season and is seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford.

Everton were also linked with a move for the defender, but ultimately it seems Evans will continue his career at the Hawthorns in a West Brom shirt.
