Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Javier Hernandez and will complete the capture of the Mexico international tomorrow.

Hernandez was an unused substitute for the Red Devils earlier today as they went down to a 2-1 defeat away at Swansea City.

According to German magazine Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen have moved for Hernandez after reaching the Champions League group stage and have an agreement with Manchester United.

The final details of the transfer have not yet been finalised though, with an estimated fee of around €12m having been mooted for the hitman.

The Bundesliga club are moving for Hernandez to fill the hole left by the departure of Heung-Min Son, who left for Tottenham Hotspur on a €30m deal last week.

Hernandez spent last season at Real Madrid on loan, but failed to do enough to cause the Spanish giants to buy him on a permanent basis.

And Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal appears to be less than a firm fan of Hernandez as he is selling the striker despite only having Wayne Rooney and James Wilson on the books as hitmen at Old Trafford; Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao both left the club earlier this summer.
