German outfit Wolfsburg have confirmed that they have sold midfielder Ivan Perisic to Italian giants Inter.

The Bundesliga club have announced that they have agreed a deal with the Serie A side, but have not disclosed the fee Inter are to pay for the Croatia international.

Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs told his club's official site that recent developments made the move possible, explaining: "The situation changed in the short term to the extent that we were able to bring about a good solution for everyone involved.

"We wish Ivan all the best at his new club", he added.

The Wolves signed Perisic from Borussia Dortmund in January 2013 and he leaves the Volkswagen Arena having played 70 Bundesliga games for the club, scoring 18 goals along the way.
