Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen insists he has not heard anything regarding a transfer to Manchester United and noted the window is about to slam shut.

Cillessen has been linked with moving to Old Trafford as a replacement for David de Gea, if the Spaniard does move to Real Madrid, as has been mooted throughout the summer.

But there is not yet any movement in the De Gea to Real Madrid saga and if it does come, it would appear to be set to happen at the last minute.

Cillessen knows that English clubs can add to their squads until 6pm (UK time) on Tuesday evening, but he insists he has heard nothing about joining Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

The shot-stopper told Amsterdam-based TV channel AT5: "I still have not heard anything and it's nearly Tuesday in September.

"I am focusing on Ajax. I am fine here and I am enjoying myself. If we become champions then next season we will play in the Champions League", he added, in reference to Ajax having to make do with Europa League football this term.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will launch a deadline day beating bid to take Cillessen from the Amsterdam ArenA.
