Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has ruled out the Serie A side signing out-of-favour Liverpool forward Fabio Borini.

The transfer window for Italian clubs closes tomorrow and Lazio are one of a whole host of Serie A sides to be linked with Borini over the summer.

The forward is expected to be on the move from the Merseyside giants before the transfer window closes. But Tare has ruled out any move for the former Roma man, along with AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri and defender Marco Andreolli.

Speaking on Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Tare was asked about Borini, Matri and Andreolli and replied: "None of those players will come to Lazio, we will be sending players out.

"In terms of incomings, we'll see if there are some players leaving and then there might be something happening on incomings", he added.

Tare also offered his thoughts on attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson, who has been linked with Manchester United.

And the sporting director feels the Brazilian must up his game as he is currently not hitting the level of performances expected from a player of his ability.

"We've talked a lot and he knows he is not giving what he gave last year", Tare explained.

"The only way to get back to being competitive is with daily work and he knows he is not giving what is expected of a player of his calibre."
