Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will not engage in a last-minute scramble to sign players before the transfer window closes, as he says he has already scouted those who are targets.

Van Gaal is under pressure to make signings having lost Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao from his attack, Angel di Maria from his midfield unit, while question marks continue to linger over goalkeeper David de Gea.

But the Red Devils boss has lost out on Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City and Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea.

However, when asked about rushing to make signings, Van Gaal insists he is already aware of the players he wants, hinting at no surprise late moves.

He told Sky Sports after his side's loss at Swansea: "When you are scouting players, then you know already in advance, one or two months, which players you can buy, it is not the last moment."

And Van Gaal insists that even though his side suffered defeat, there is no need to panic, adding: "When you see the game you will see we are the dominant team.

"You are asking me the same questions [about transfers]", the Dutchman added.

Van Gaal is reported to have significant funds at his disposal to bring in new players, but it remains to be seen if he can sign his targets before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday evening.
