David de Gea's move from Manchester United to Real Madrid is done, according to Spanish daily AS.

The goalkeeper has been linked with Real Madrid all summer, but Los Blancos only set about agreeing a fee with Manchester United for De Gea today.

They are expected to pay a fee of between €30m and €35m to sign the Spaniard, with Keylor Navas then heading in the opposite direction.

And the deal to take De Gea to the Bernabeu is now complete. Indeed, the only matter remaining is the paperwork to send Navas to Old Trafford.

De Gea's move to Real Madrid will bring to an end a lengthy transfer saga, which has seen him refuse to extend his contract at Manchester United in light of Los Blancos' interest.

But Manchester United stood firm for the majority of the transfer window, with manager Louis van Gaal even vowing De Gea would not be sold.

Nevertheless, a deal has now been done which will see the Spaniard lining up as a Real Madrid player this season.

De Gea has not played for Manchester United this term as Van Gaal claimed the shot-stopper was not sufficiently focused.
