FC Midtjylland winger Pione Sisto has rejected an offer to join West Ham this summer.

The Hammers are still keen to do business ahead of tomorrow’s deadline day and are working on deals to bring in new players to Upton Park.

However, they have received a transfer blow as according to Danish daily Ekstra Bladet, FC Midtjylland winger Sisto has refused to move to east London his summer.

Slaven Bilic was keen to sign the Denmark Under-21 international and slapped in a bid of £5m for the player, which FC Midtjylland accepted to pave the way for the winger to join the Hammers.

West Ham even made a contract offer of around £1.2m per season to the player, but Sisto decided against moving to England at this stage of his career.

It has been suggested that the 20-year-old does not feel that it is the right time to move to England and participate in a more challenging league such as the Premier League.

Sisto wants to continue at FC Midtjylland for the time being and further his developments as a footballer before taking the next big step in his career.

The winger has made 74 appearances for the Danish club thus far and has a contract until 2018.
