Striker Victor Ibarbo is heading to Watford from Italian side Roma, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

Ibarbo, who was linked with Leeds United last summer, but eventually ended up signing for Roma, is expected to be snapped up by Watford before the transfer window closes in England tomorrow.

The Colombia international played for Cagliari, with Watford's sporting director Nicola Salerno previously holding the same position at the Italian club; Salerno was also sporting director at Leeds last summer.

Ibarbo now appears to be finally heading for England though and should link up with Premier League new boys Watford.
