Hull City striker Nikica Jelavic is having a medical at West Ham United ahead of joining the Upton Park club, according to Press Association Sport.

West Ham have been frantically searching for a striker after being hit by an injury crisis affecting their forward options and, following a number of links, have moved for Jelavic.

The 30-year-old is now being put through his medical paces by the Hammers and is tipped to answer their striking woes.

A move to Upton Park would see Jelavic reunite with his former Croatia coach Slaven Bilic, who is now in charge at West Ham.
