Keylor Navas is having a medical ahead of his move to Manchester United, according to Sky Italia.

The Costa Rica international goalkeeper is heading to Old Trafford while David de Gea makes the opposite journey, to Real Madrid.

Navas is now undergoing his medical checks with Manchester United in the Spanish capital Madrid, as he does not have time to travel to Manchester if his move is to be included in the switch which takes De Gea to Spain.

The total package is reported to be worth €40m, with Real Madrid paying cash plus Navas to sign De Gea.

Navas will now aim to be playing regular first team football at Old Trafford; had the goalkeeper remained at Real Madrid he would have been likely to play understudy to De Gea.

The transfer window in Spain closes this evening and it is full speed ahead from both parties to complete the transfer.
