Lyon are all set to sign young midfielder Olivier Kemen from Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

Kemen, who is France Under-19s' captain, was at Lyon's facilities earlier today to undergo a medical with the club, which he has now successfully passed.

According to French broadcaster beIN Sports, Lyon now expect to snap up the midfielder without incident, though it is not clear how much Les Gones are paying for Kemen.

He is expected to imminently sign a contract with Lyon to quickly seal the move.

The young midfielder is highly rated, but has never made a senior appearance for Newcastle and now looks poised to depart without having done so.

He was linked with a whole host of clubs earlier this summer, including AC Milan, Monaco, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur; Monaco reportedly lodged a bid of €500,000 for the starlet, but were told by Newcastle to double it.

Whether Lyon have hit the €1m mark for Kemen remains to be seen, but the midfielder is now set to head back to his homeland with Les Gones to continue his career.
