Lyon are eyeing up a late swoop to sign Olivier Kemen from Newcastle United before the window closes.

The France Under-19 captain has been of interest to a number of clubs throughout the course of the transfer window this summer, a group including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

AC Milan and Monaco have also been keen on Kemen, who despite being highly rated, has yet to make a senior start for Newcastle.

Now, according to French daily Le Progres, Lyon are switching their attentions to a push for Kemen after failing to sign Lucas Tousart from Valenciennes.

Whether Newcastle will be prepared to play ball over Kemen's departure remains to be seen, but if the Magpies are willing to sell, the midfielder's other suitors may be alerted.
