Borussia Dortmund have completed the season-long loan signing of Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United.

The Ruhr giants have been on the lookout for a left-sided winger to bolster their squad before the transfer window slams shut and have pounced to secure Januzaj.

The Belgium international will spend the entire campaign with the Bundesliga club and aim to clock up the regular game time that eluded him at Old Trafford.

Januzaj took to Twitter to post a photograph of himself with a Borussia Dortmund shirt sporting his name and the number 9 and wrote: "Pleased to sign for Dortmund. Looking forward to new season."

The winger, who can also operate as a 'number 10', had been linked with a loan switch to Sunderland, but Manchester United have chosen to send him to Germany to further his development.

Borussia Dortmund have not confirmed the existence of an option to buy Januzaj and Manchester United are thought to still rate the youngster highly.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United will move to replace Januzaj at Old Trafford before the transfer window for English clubs closes tomorrow evening.
