Real Madrid and Liverpool linked Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos has expressed his desire to stay put with the Andalusian outfit, terming reports linking him to other clubs “rumours.”

Ceballos enjoyed a great season at the Benito Villamarin last term as his five goals and as many assists from 33 league appearances helped Real Betis win the Segunda Division title and make it the to the top flight of the Spanish league.




He was also part of the Spanish Under-19 team that won the European Under-19 Championship held in Greece earlier this year.

The 19-year-old’s performances have earned him admiration from several European outfits and he has been linked with a move to the Real Madrid as well Liverpool of the English Premier League.
 

 


However, he has expressed his desire to stay put in Andalusia and has termed the reports of his possible move as mere rumours.

“I want to continue in Betis and enjoy this affection [of the fans] for many years”, he was quoted as saying by Madrid-based daily AS.

“They trust me because I have never failed.

“I've always given everything for this shirt and just think back all the love I have received from the Beticos.

“They are only rumours, what I want is to stay at Betis.”
