Erik Lamela is interested in swapping Tottenham Hotspur for Marseille before the transfer window closes, it has been claimed.
It emerged earlier today that Marseille are in talks with Spurs over signing the Argentina winger, with a loan switch mooted.
Lamela has been consistently linked with the White Hart Lane exit door throughout the summer and he may now be finally set to leave the club.
According to French radio station RMC, Lamela has let it be known that he is interested in joining Marseille.
Now the ball is in the Ligue 1 club's court to agree a deal with Spurs to sign the former Roma man.

At the Stade Velodrome, Lamela would expect to play regular first team football, something which he is not guaranteed under Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane.
Nevertheless, a move to France would still come as something of a surprise given Lamela has been regularly linked with a return to Italy, while it remains to be seen if Marseille can shoulder the full burden of his wage packet.
