Sunderland have made their move for Fabio Borini and have placed an offer on Liverpool’s table.

Borini spent a fruitful loan spell at Stadium of Light with the Black Cats in the 2013.14 season and Dick Advocaat is keen to take him back to the north east on a permanent deal.

Despite interest from Inter Milan, Sunderland have made their move for the player and have slapped in a bid with Liverpool for the Italian striker.

According to Sky Italia, the Premier League outfit have offered £8m plus performance based add-ons worth £2m, a bid which is more than Inter are offering at the moment.

While Inter are also locked in talks with Liverpool for Borini, the club are currently engaged in negotiations with Sampdoria for Eder, which has given an opportunity for Sunderland to take advantage of the situation.

Should they fail to sign the Sampdoria man, Inter could make another offer to Liverpool for the 24-year-old striker.

Borini is said to be keen to move back to Italy, but with the transfer window closing today for Italian clubs, he is aware that Inter have little to complete the deal.

On the other hand Sunderland are aware that they have until 18:00 PM tomorrow to take Borini to the Stadium of Light.
