Paris Saint-Germain new boy Angel di Maria has revealed that his attraction towards Louis van Gaal's philosophy made his decision to join Manchester United easy, but eventually he found it hard to adapt to the Dutchman's style.

The Argentine became the Manchester-based side's record signing last summer, but secured a move away from Old Trafford after just one season.

While speaking about his stint with Manchester United and his decision to join the club, the 27-year-old revealed that he was attracted by Van Gaal's philosophy and wanted to ply his trade under the veteran manager.

However, having played under the former Bayern Munich boss, Di Maria insists that he found out that the Dutchman was not that easy a person to play under, thus making his decision to leave England easier.

The winger also took time to speak about his relationship with Van Gaal, insisting that the duo had a series of run-ins, thus paving the way for his move to France.
