West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott has passed his medical and is all set to join Aston Villa, according to BBC Radio 5 live.

Lescott has been at the Hawthorns since last summer when he landed from current Premier League leaders Manchester City after five seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

The England international went on to play 34 league games for the Baggies last term and scored a solitary goal in the process. This season he has featured in two league outings.

He has passed his medical with Aston Villa and is expected to complete his move today for a fee of £2m after add-ons.
