Leeds United's interest in Watford winger Lloyd Dyer has cooled as the clock ticks down towards the closure of the transfer window, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

It had been reported that the Whites were still on the lookout for one more winger in spite of the arrival of Congo international Jordan Botaka.

Nottingham Forest's Jamie Paterson was being looked as the other option apart from Dyer.

However, with the transfer window fast approaching a close, a deal for Dyer seems unlikely to go through.

Leeds confirmed the signing of winger Botaka from Dutch side Excelsior earlier today and may now do no further business.

The Whites are trying to offload Nicky Ajose however, with Coventry City interested.

32-year-old winger Dyer started off his senior career with West Bromwich Albion and was sent out on multiple loan spells before being sold to Millwall in 2006.

He has since played for sides such as MK Dons and Leicester City, before moving to Watford in 2014. He has since managed a total of 16 appearances for his side, scoring three goals and has also provided his team-mates with two assists.
