Anthony Martial could well be Manchester United's final deal of the summer as manager Louis van Gaal is happy with the squad he has at his disposal, according to Press Association Sport.

The Red Devils have made five major signings this summer so far with Monaco forward Martial set to be their sixth.

And it is claimed that the Red Devils, who lost to Swansea at the weekend, will not go into the market to look for more players as the transfer deadline draws to a close.

Manager Van Gaal has been heavily criticised for his transfer dealings so far with Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer going to the extent of contrasting the Dutch manager's transfer dealing with his predecessor David Moyes and asking the question of whether the Real Sociedad manager would have had the same treatment as Van Gaal.

And now the former Bayern Munich boss seems poised to end the process of strengthening his side with the addition of Martial, who is reportedly costing a fee in the region of £36m.

"I'm told no more significant incomings are expected at #MUFC today other than Martial", Press Association Sport reporter Paul Hirst wrote on his official Twitter feed.

"Louis van Gaal is happy with the squad as it is, apparently"

The Red Devils are still short on the attacking front with the departures of Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao and Javier Hernandez.
