Watford are thought to be closing in on the signature of Belgium Under-21 striker Obbi Oulare.

The young hitman has been linked with Watford, along with West Ham, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the signs are that he could move to England before the transfer window slams shut this evening.




According to Belgian daily Het Laatse Nieuws, Watford are making all the running to sign Oulare, whose agents are already in London and whose parents are also on the way.

And in a further sign the Club Brugge striker could move, he was not present at Belgium Under-21s training today.

Oulare has spent time in the youth ranks at a series of clubs, including French outfit Lille and Belgian giants Standard Liege and Club Brugge.

He made his senior breakthrough with Club Brugge in 2013 and has represented his country at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

It remains to be seen where Oulare will end up, but Watford at present appear to be making the running for the striker.
