West Brom have handed Saido Berahino a break from first team training as they bid to repair the damage done by a hectic transfer deadline day.

Tottenham Hotspur had already seen two offers for Berahino knocked back before yesterday, but pushed again to sign the striker by submitting a third and then fourth offer.

West Brom stood firm, rejecting bids coming their way, but Berahino was angered and took to social media to blast chairman Jeremy Peace.

Berahino insisted that he will not play for West Brom as long as Peace remains chairman at the Hawthornes.

Now, according to the Press Association, West Brom have given Berahino extra time off and he will not have to report for training at the club until Monday.
