England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane insists that he has full faith in his ability to get back amongst the goals soon.

The England international has managed to play in all four of his side's Premier League matches so far, but has failed to score in any of them, a fact that may concern the Spurs faithful, particularly after having seen the goods from the young striker last season.

In a breakthrough 2014/15 domestic season, the youngster managed a total of 31 goals, earning the PFA Young Player of the Year accolade in the process.

Though disappointed with his early lull this season, Kane is confident about finding his form sooner rather than later.

According to the Tottenham academy recruit, being on fire or going through a dull phase are all part of a striker's career and he is absolutely positive about coming out of his lean patch sooner rather than later.

"As a striker you always go through spells when you find you are on fire and everything you touch turns to goals, and other times it doesn't go your way – but I'm very focused and confident in my abilities.

"It's a long old season ahead and I know if I keep doing the right things the goals will come and hopefully the wins as well", Kane told a press conference, via The FA.com.

Kane, who is currently on his international duty for the Three Lions, also took time to reveal that he has been speaking to his senior striking partner Wayne Rooney, who has time and again handled balancing the demands of club and country.

"I’m sure I’ll get to talk to him as the week goes on and I’ll be able to pick his brain and see how he dealt with it.

"See what he’s done to keep fit and in good shape and try to use that to help me."
