Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dele Alli is delighted to have been called up for the England Under-21 side, saying that it is the culmination of the hard work he has put in.

Alli was signed by Spurs in the winter transfer window earlier this year and was promptly loaned out to MK Dons. He has arrived at White Hart Lane this summer and made his debut for the Lilywhites in the first league game of their campaign against Manchester United that ended in a 1-0 defeat for his side.

The youngster scored his first goal for Spurs against Leicester City in a 1-1 draw and also saw action against Everton in the London side’s last fixture before the ongoing international break.

Alli has been rewarded for his performances with a call-up to the England Under-21 side for their upcoming games against the United States Under-23 side and Norway's Under-21 team.

And he feels that he is up for the challenge, having bedded in well at his new team.
