Chelsea winger Eden Hazard feels that Manchester City new boy Kevin De Bruyne has the qualities to prove himself in England.

Manchester City paid a hefty transfer fee to Wolfsburg to lure the former Chelsea man back to England this summer and De Bruyne is reported to have become the highest paid in Belgian in the world.

His former Chelsea team-mate and international colleague Hazard has backed his compatriot to shine in the Premier League and feels De Bruyne has the quality to do so.

“He has the qualities to impose himself”, Hazard told L’Equipe.

While the 24-year-old was a roaring success at the Volkswagen Arena, De Bruyne could be termed a failure in his spell at Stamford Bridge and Jose Mourinho has said that he lacked the mentality to scrap for a place in the first eleven.

Hazard has no doubts about the quality that his compatriot possesses and feels that De Bruyne has come back to the Premier League with a point to prove.

“He showed last season at Wolfsburg that he is a great player.

“He has something to prove [in England] and it can only be good for the national team.”

De Bruyne could make his debut for Manuel Pellegrini’s men when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on an in-form Crystal Palace team on 12th September.
