Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen will not be fit enough to take part in Denmark's match against Armenia on Monday, coach Morten Olsen has revealed.

Eriksen missed Denmark's Friday game against Albania with a knee injury, but cheered his team-mates on along with his girlfriend, seeing them record a disappointing 0-0 draw on home turf.

Denmark had held out some hope that Eriksen would be fit enough to take part away to Armenia on Monday, as they look to bag all three points to help their push for an automatic qualifying spot in their Euro 2016 group.

But Eriksen is not available, Olsen has revealed.

The Denmark coach said to TV2 Sport: "Christian Eriksen is not available.

"He is not coming with us", Olsen added.

The news is a blow to Denmark and means they will have to find a way to carve open Armenia without their creative midfield talent.

Denmark currently sit third in their qualifying group, behind second placed Albania on goal difference and one point off leaders Portugal.
