Liverpool starlet Sergi Canos believes he is better suited to playing as a winger rather than a striker and has welcomed his loan move to English second tier outfit Brentford.

Canos has joined the Bees on a loan spell set to last until January 2016 and will be bidding to play regular first team football in the cut and thrust of the Championship to build up his experience ahead of a return to Anfield.

And the 18-year-old, who is highly rated at Liverpool, has no doubt over in which position he wants to play while at Griffin Park.

Canos told Bees Player: "I think I’m more of a winger than a striker.

"But I don’t mind playing striker or on the wing. I think I’m faster but can also be strong against the centre-backs", the Spaniard added.
