Chelsea legend Didier Drogba netted a hat-trick for Montreal Impact in his first start for the MLS side last night.

Drogba had been handed his debut for the Canadian side two weeks ago from the bench, but was named in the starting eleven against Chicago Fire in the MLS game.

And Drogba quickly made his presence felt, scoring goals in the 27th, 61st and 66th minutes to fire Montreal Impact to a 4-3 win.

The veteran striker's efforts brought to an end what has been a dismal recent run for the Impact.

Indeed, the side went into the game having failed to win in their last six games in all competitions, with four losses amongst the run.
